Well the NASA Southeast Savannah Sizzler lived up to its name today because it was beyond hot today. This was the hottest day i’ve competed with the car this year and I was really wondering how she’d do in the heat.
We had a class of 3 drivers in Super Unlimited but one driver decided to not race and the other had a mechanical failure. My oil temps were great - pleased with how that has improved with the bigger cooler. The coolant temps were not happy and every other lap I had to run the lap in 5th gear to bring the temps down. Not possible to go fast at all in 5th gear but I had to do what I had to do.
My lap times weren’t great but we got the class win. Won the fine china today! 🤩🏁
I also tried to tough it out and not wear a coolshirt - not a good idea. I made it through the race but after I parked in the garage I felt horrible. Thanks Jim Pantas and Julie Zaso Pantas for recognizing how I felt and helping me. 🤢
Tomorrow we have 2 races - no worries i’ve got the coolshirt ready to go and i’ll do the best I can with the car. She ran strong with the good stuff from Ignite Racing Fuel and the Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Eliminator Spec R!!

The old dog Hoosier Racing Tires I had mounted up felt great despite the heat!! The Alcon Specialist Brakes & Clutches and Pro-System Brakes were perfect as always.
Roebling Road Raceway is a special place with lots of memories over the years of running here but now it’s even more special due to the memories with Michael Gallagher. I feel him here instantly and Mike I miss you and the times with Koby Timms here……#MafiaMemories
