My 2024 Chasing The Dragon Hill Climb recap!! 🐉
Ironically the attached memory (see first pic below), came up on FB for my first running of this event 2 years ago! I thought I’d combine both my experiences in this post - what a difference 2 years makes!!!
With only 3 runs two years ago in a borrowed car,
I wasn’t sure what to expect this year honestly. Thanks to Randy Adkins who helped with my shock adjustments and going over run video, this year was successful as compared to two years ago!
I was able to drop 14 secs from 2022 to this year and over 4 secs at the event this year.
I ended up 3rd in Outlaw and 16th out of 84 drivers. 🏁
The car handled the bumps much better and no bottoming out occurred. With the experience I got this year in the seat, I am certain I can get a sub 1:20 in 2025!! Best time this event 1:22.2.
It was great seeing everyone and I want to especially thank all the folks who worked this event. Without you all we as drivers couldn’t do what we really love.
This was the third and final hillclimb in this series. Soon we should have the official end of season results for the SCCA Appalachian HillClimb Series Presented by Summit Racing!!!
