As I got closer to the track today I could feel a bit of anxiety build up in my chest and I kept talking to myself to work through everything that has happened in the past week. It’s been a week for me. This is the right thing to do - to get back in the saddle right now. 🤠
We made it here to Roebling Road Raceway just in time this afternoon to get car unloaded, gassed up and tires checked before the last test and tune session.
I started the car to get out on track and I had “reduced engine power” come up on the dash. I got my code reader and it was a throttle position sensor code. Googled the fix to this issue and got the engine light cleared and went out on track. Motor sounded great! I started out cruising around and didn’t push it much but needed to feel this track again as it’s been a long time since i’ve driven here it seems.
WOW so much pavement as compared to the hillclimbs! I tried to not look at the trees and I think it went very well.
Tomorrow is RACEDAY! Thunder Racers qualify at 10:40am and race at 3:10pm. If you’d like to follow along check out RaceHero app and this event is the NASA Southeast Savannah Sizzler.
