What an incredible weekend in Norton, VA!!
Had some early spark plug wire issues (yes again…as I had at Pine Mountain Hillclimb but different issue this time) but thanks to the great friends I have met through hillclimbing and for all of their help and for talking me off the edge as we got most of the issues figured out. I was able to put down a pretty respectable time late on saturday so I was hoping for the best today. I was in a pretty tight battle for first place in Modified Unlimited with my good friend Seth Monteleone. I only had him by a small margin - but on the very last run of the day he got me! By 0.357 seconds! Awesome job Seth and it was great how we pushed each other this weekend!!
Congrats to Tommy Plaza for the third place win too!!
I was able to win the coveted Queen of the Hill award for the SCCA Appalachian HillClimb Series Presented by Summit Racing at Flagrock! Another beautiful trophy by Rod at the Rustic Rooster Custom Metal!!
My fastest time of the day was a 1:52.615 and I am proud to have an overall top 10 finish and have set the new Queen record!! 👑
