She’s BAAACK!!! Car ran so good in the Thunder Race today!!! P2 in class and 8th overall!
Great result despite starting in the back due to no qualifying time for grid. Every race I compete in I’m feeling myself get more and more hooked! Damn I loved it out there today! Think I loved chasing those cars down versus being out front and getting chased! I did notice that I’m needing bigger brakes especially in Turn 1 there. It’s something that I’ve known was “probably a good idea” to get but it was so obvious this weekend.
The last 4 days out at VIR started on a high and ended the same. I truly appreciate the help with getting the coolant system fixed and having the opportunity to race today. The instruction with Mike Skeen was a high point as well as the Night Race! The “ultimate” was just making it into the knockout finals with Grassroots Motorsports Magazine Ultimate Trackcar Challenge on my new personal best lap time! I also got to finally meet Dirk Stratton!!! Badass drifter who is also my Team Lingenfelter teammate!
Huge thanks to my longtime friend Aaron Quine for the mounting and balancing of my tires this weekend! You made them right and I had no more worries! It’s always great seeing you again!
This is a weekend I won’t soon forget - back to work and reality tomorrow!
